Shipping & Import Charges

EmpressKorea ships from South Korea. Enter your delivery address at checkout to see the available carrier, delivery estimate, and whether import charges are prepaid for that order.

How to read checkout
If checkout shows an import duty, tax, IOSS, or other prepaid import line, that amount is collected before shipment. A selected FedEx rate may instead include duties in shipping; checkout will not add the same charge again. Only an explicit import charges not included or DDU/DAP notice means the carrier or customs authority may collect charges before delivery.

Carriers

  • FedEx Express: live destination rates and tracking. DDP is used only where the checkout confirms prepaid import charges.
  • Korea Post K-Packet / EMS: economical postal delivery where available. Outside the United States, postal shipments are DDU, so destination charges may be collected on arrival.

Current import treatment

DestinationHow it works
United StatesAll orders are DDP. Import charges shown at checkout are prepaid.
European UnionAt or below €150, destination VAT is collected through IOSS and the temporary €3 customs duty per tariff classification is prepaid. Above €150, eligible FedEx orders use DDP for VAT and applicable duty.
UK, Canada, UAE, Saudi ArabiaOrders below US$500 are DDU. Orders of US$500 or more use FedEx DDP when the prepaid line appears at checkout.
Mexico, BrazilFedEx orders use DDP at every order value. Applicable import charges are prepaid through a checkout line or included in the FedEx rate. Live landed-cost estimates are used first. If unavailable, the current fallbacks are Mexico 33.5%; Brazil non-PRC import tax 60% plus destination ICMS of 17%–20%. Korea Post shipments remain DDU. The carrier, notices, and total shown at checkout are authoritative.
Australia, New Zealand, SingaporeLocal low-value GST rules apply; higher-value FedEx orders use DDP where confirmed by checkout. A low-value threshold is not always a tax exemption.
Other destinationsDDU/DAP. Any applicable duty, tax, or clearance charge is determined and collected by the destination authority or carrier.

Delivery timing

Typical transit is approximately 5–10 business days by FedEx and 10–20 business days by Korea Post after processing. Customs review, remote-area delivery, holidays, or missing recipient information can extend the estimate.

Important

  • We declare the actual transaction value and accurate product description. We cannot mark commercial orders as gifts or lower the declared value.
  • Some destinations restrict specific categories. Checkout blocks combinations we cannot legally or reliably ship.
  • If a carrier asks you to pay a charge that your order already shows as prepaid, contact us with the order number and carrier notice before paying again.

See the Import Charges Guide for current country details and official authority links.

Policy rate blocks are synchronized weekly with checkout settings. Last policy review: August 27, 2026. Government rules and carrier assessments can change; the destination-aware checkout and customs assessment for the shipment control.
