The Director of Soonyang Group, Yoon Hyun-Woo, is a loyal individual who deals with all sorts of dirty work for the conglomerate family. Although he is currently only a lackey for the conglomerate, he dreams of becoming the closest confidant and achieving success someday. One day, he is entrusted with a significant task involving overseas funds. He thought he was finally getting closer to his dream, but the actual task assigned to him was to overturn the evil deeds of the conglomerate family and become a bad person who dies. He dies an unfair death, working like a dog for 13 years only to be thrown away, crying out, “Why do I have to die? I’m just an errand boy!”. He thought his unfair death was the end, but in 1987, he opens his eyes and returns to the past. Ironically, he is reincarnated as the youngest grandson of Jin Yang-Chul, the founder of Soonyang Group, who had killed him. Is this a chance for revenge given by the gods, or the beginning of another tragic fate?

I found the plot interesting. It’s unique to see a character go back in time and change things. A little slow at parts, but overall engaging enough for binge-watching sessions on weekends. I wasn’t sure about the subtitle options, they were sometimes tricky to follow.

I started reading this and got hooked. The story moves fast, but it’s entertaining. Some characters are a bit cliché, which is noticeable. I enjoyed how Yoon’s character develops over time. Just wished the cover art was nicer than what it looks like online.

Once I held the first volume of ‘Reborn Rich’ in my hands, it felt like unlocking a secret door. Each page breathed life into Yoon’s pain and hopes—the sort of heartache that lingers well beyond one’s own struggles. Such intense feelings mirrored whispers from Brooklyn; familiar yet profoundly different.
Now I’ve often wandered under twinkling lights—like staring into their fragmented history reflected through art—but here, with this tale unfolding in vivid strokes, life’s layered challenges touched me deeper than I expected.

Reading ‘Reborn Rich – Comic Book Vol.1’ ignites a fire of nostalgia and resilience akin to the experiences nestled in New York’s buzzing streets during transformative decades. Yoon Hyun-Woo’s tale is not just about power struggles, but rather it dissects human loyalty and ambition intertwined with existential loss—a reflection parallel to corporate America’s darker corners seen through films from the ‘80s onward. The graphical artistry complements poignant themes effectively while offering critique against familial greed, striking familiar chords within readers reflecting on their own pursuits amidst contemporary society’s chaos.

Reborn Rich has an interesting story and keeps you hooked. I enjoyed the twist of him coming back in time to fix his life. The characters felt real, but some moments were a bit slow. Just wish the cover art looked more vibrant when it arrived.

In ‘Reborn Rich’, betrayal feels like the chill of winter on an open road. Yoon Hyun-Woo’s journey resonates, weaving past mistakes into a tale as rich as dawn in Seoul.

Reborn Rich – Comic Book Vol.1 is a compelling read that intricately weaves the themes of power, betrayal, and redemption through Yoon Hyun-Woo’s journey from a loyal servant to someone who confronts his fate after reincarnation in 1987. The artwork captures intense emotions beautifully, enhancing the storytelling experience significantly. It left me eagerly anticipating how he’ll navigate this second chance at life.
