EPEX 1st Full Album [韶華 1st Album: Youth]

EPEX makes a powerful comeback with their highly anticipated first full-length album, [韶華 1st Album: Youth]. Since their debut in June 2021, where 7 out of 8 members were still minors, the group has grown and evolved. Now, in 2024, all members have stepped into adulthood, marking a new chapter in their musical journey.

Through their previous six mini-albums, including their debut release, EPEX has conveyed the emotions of youth—its uncertainties, first loves, and the growing pains of adolescence. With [韶華 1st Album: Youth], they now embrace the essence of youth in its fullest form, delivering songs that reflect the vibrant yet sometimes harsh realities of this pivotal life stage.

A Trilogy of Youth Begins

This album is the first installment of EPEX’s youth trilogy, setting the stage for an exploration of youthful experiences. Shaohua (韶華), meaning “bright spring scenery” and “youth,” perfectly captures the warmth, struggles, dreams, and love of young people at their most brilliant moments.

More than just music, this album tells the story of EPEX themselves—standing at the crossroads of youth, sharing messages that resonate with their generation. They touch on social issues, personal worries, and the purest love stories, making this album a heartfelt and relatable journey for all who listen.

5 reviews for EPEX – Vol. 1: Digestion (韶華) Chapter 1: Youth [1 of 2 randomly sent]

  1. Bram – Amsterdam, Nederland –

  3. Ilse Van Den Heede –

I really enjoyed the balance of softer harmonies with the sick guitars in ‘KILLSHOT’. ‘Youth2Youth’ is a 10/10 for me, the vocal layering in the chorus is a highlight and the lyrics are beautiful and inspiring. Overall, ‘Sohwa (韶華) Chapter 1: Youth’ by EPEX is a very solid album.
