BTS unveils their new album ‘Proof’ on June 10th. Released 11 months after the single CD ‘Butter’, ‘Proof’ is an anthology album chronicling BTS’s history. This special album showcases BTS’s dedication and sincerity towards ARMY, filled with songs reflecting on the past, present, and future of the group. ‘Proof’, a 3-CD set, includes three new tracks spanning different genres and messages: ‘Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)’, ‘Run Bulletproof’, and ‘For Youth’, with one new song on each CD. The album boasts a total of 48 tracks, featuring past title songs, unit songs selected by the members, solo tracks, unreleased songs, and special versions.
CD 1: Chronicles of BTS
The first CD opens with the previously unreleased ‘Born Singer’ and takes listeners through BTS’s history with tracks like ‘No More Dream’, ‘N.O’, ‘Boy In Luv’, ‘Danger’, ‘I NEED U’, ‘RUN’, ‘FIRE’, ‘Blood, Sweat and Tears’, ‘Spring Day’, ‘DNA’, ‘FAKE LOVE’, ‘IDOL’, ‘Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)’, ‘ON’, ‘Dynamite’, ‘Life Goes On’, ‘Butter’, and the new title track ‘Yet To Come’. These songs are presented in chronological order.
‘Born Singer’, initially released as a free audio track in July 2013, has been remastered for this album. This song holds special meaning for both BTS and their fans, capturing the group’s raw emotions and aspirations just a month after their debut.
BTS’s journey, marked by their bold ambitions in ‘Born Singer’, is celebrated through their 9-year history. Concluding the first CD with ‘Yet To Come’, BTS proclaims that their ‘history of proof’ is still unfolding.
“Best Moment is Yet to Come” – ‘Yet To Come’
‘Yet To Come’, the album’s title track, is a medium-tempo alternative hip-hop song that uses the chipmunk soul sampling technique. This song reflects on BTS’s musical journey and promises an even brighter future. The warm melody and hopeful message “your best moment is yet to come” are delivered with BTS’s calm yet powerful vocals, resonating deeply with listeners.
CD 2: Solo and Unit Songs
The second CD features solo and unit songs that highlight the unique colors, charms, and honest stories of each member. “Run Bulletproof” – ‘Run BTS’
‘Run BTS’ kicks off the second CD with its intense up-tempo hip-hop beat. The song narrates BTS’s journey of perseverance and unity, pledging to continue running forward without change. Featuring contributions from RM, J-Hope, Jungkook, and Suga, ‘Run BTS’ captures the free-spirited essence of the group’s early days, reflecting on their hard work and growth.
CD 3: Special Gift for Fans
The third CD is a special gift for fans, featuring unreleased tracks, demo versions, and songs released for the first time in album form. The fan song ‘For Youth’ expresses BTS’s gratitude towards ARMY. ‘For Youth’ is a heartfelt tribute to ARMY, featuring a memorable sample from ‘EPILOGUE: Young Forever’. The song begins with fan chants from a BTS performance, adding a special touch. The lyrics express BTS’s gratitude to ARMY for their support, describing the time spent with fans as eternal youth. The soft piano melodies and analog sounds leave a warm, lingering feeling.
