About Buncheong Ware
Buncheong ceramics emerged in Korea during the early Joseon Dynasty and are characterized by their gray stoneware body decorated with white slip. The oxidation firing process creates the distinctive warm, earthy tones seen in this set, different from the cooler tones of reduction-fired pieces.
