铃芽是一位17岁的女孩，和她的阿姨一起住在九州的一个安静的小镇上。有一天，铃芽在上学的路上经过一个英俊的年轻人，她说她“在找一扇门”，她追着他，进入了山里的废墟，在那里铃芽发现了一扇古老的白色门，仿佛是从坍塌中偏离出来的。仿佛被她心中的某物吸引，铃芽向她的门伸出了手……。连接过去、现在和未来的铃芽的“封锁”故事开始了。剧场版动画《铃芽之旅》的原创小说，计划于2023年3月8日上映。由导演新海诚执导，包含了电影中未介绍的角色的情感，以及对世界的更精确的描绘。
