FIFTY FIFTY - The 1st Single [The Beginning: Cupid]

Newcomer Fifty Fifty received favorable reviews for their debut album with deep musicality and colorful images.
100 days after their debut album, they are making a comeback with their first single album [The Beginning: Cupid].

This album is a prequel, the first beginning of the Fifty Fifty worldview, and shows the multi-layered inner world of the four girls facing a new beginning. In addition, the pure and clumsy images of innocent girls who do not know their charms are honestly captured with excitement and fear.

The gap between the desire to do well and the reality that does not go according to one's will. Cupid, the only one the girls can rely on in that precarious situation. Cupid is a talisman in the mind in an unstable psychological state, sometimes giving girls relief, but also arousing resentment when things don't go well.

The moment the passive girls become independent, they no longer need Cupid. It contains the message of overcoming fear and changing by breaking away from Cupid, which has been subconsciously dependent. ‘Cupid’ is a song that shows the growth process of four girls and their beginning.

‘Cupid’ announces the beginning of the song with a retro-style melody reminiscent of chanson and a faint voice. Also, based on a minimal disco beat and a funky bassline, this song guides you step by step into the world of Cupid through the harmony of soft vocals and pads. It shows a light yet humorous side through refreshing synths and melodious piano melodies. The sweet vocals show off their loveliness to the fullest, and the spicy rap part adds umami to the song.

This single album contains a total of three tracks, including the title track number 1, the twin version's track number 2, which focuses on a different mix and easy listening with English lyrics, and the instrumental of the title. Member Kina participated in the rap making, and Saena also participated in the point choreography production to improve the song's completeness.
In the chorus part, you can also find vocals and choreography that make use of the Call & Response point. In addition, Adam von Mentzer, who produced the debut album ‘Lovin’ Me’, took part in the song along with several talented foreign producers to maintain the color of the group while deliberation on expanding a new musical area.
