Seasoned with Traditional Methods
Our cast iron pot is seasoned using traditional methods, ensuring it doesn’t stick and can be used semi-permanently.
Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Pot
Before use, the pot is repeatedly heated and coated with perilla oil or cooking oil.
Fully Seasoned Cast Iron Pot
For a fully seasoned pot, add a handful of leafy greens and boil thoroughly before cleaning and use.
Usage and Storage Instructions
Our pots are sold pre-seasoned. If not stored properly and rust forms, follow the guidelines below:
- After washing, dry the pot over low heat and apply oil if not used for an extended period. Use a sponge for cleaning.
- Deep frying in the pot aids in seasoning.
- If the seasoned coating wears off, reapply oil and repeat the seasoning process (steps 4-5).
- For rust, repeat the seasoning process (steps 3-5).
Features of the Cast Iron Pot
- Maintains high temperatures and evenly distributes heat.
- The lid’s weight increases internal pressure, enhancing the taste of rice.
- Perfect for cooking mixed grains and brown rice.
- Helps prevent adult diseases through iron intake.
- Ideal for rich-flavored dishes like beef bone soup, chicken broth, and sweet potatoes.
Seasoning Tips
Regularly using the pot for deep frying helps maintain its seasoning and prevents sticking or rusting. Consistent oil temperature ensures evenly cooked, delicious food.
Tips for Cooking Rice and Storage
- Soak rice in water for about 2 hours before cooking for better taste.
- Avoid overfilling with water to cook nutritious rice.
- Do not frequently open the lid while cooking.
- Do not leave cooked rice in the pot for too long.
- Use a soft sponge for cleaning; avoid rough scouring pads.
- Completely dry the pot after washing. For long-term storage, thoroughly dry over a gas stove and apply a light coat of oil.
Cooking Rice

Ayo! Have you seen the latest cast iron pot craze? Honestly, this seasoned beauty transported me back to my childhood nights at Baba’s house in Cracow. Each grain of rice came out fluffy like it was meant for a royal feast! Plus, those crispy edges reminded me of summertime cookouts with family gathered around a fire pit under the stars—pure magic on any table. Getting things sizzling took barely five minutes and felt surreal watching veggies roast right before your eyes! It’s kinda wild how cooking can evoke so many memories; plus I found myself experimenting wildly after making legendary stew first go round—considering throwing beef brisket into next because why not?? Keep it well oiled and safe folks or rust will ruin these good vibes 😊🎉

In the quaint suburbs of Toronto, I unleashed this pot’s magic one crisp fall evening. My grandmother’s fluffy rice recipe ignited flavors from our kitchen heritage; those caramelized crust edges transported me home.

The unassuming simplicity of the cast iron pot resonates with me as I recall my grandmother’s kitchen in a tiny fishing village on India’s coastline. The magic lies in its seasoning method; that perfect mix of perilla oil infused by gentle heat! It beckons forth flavors reminiscent of fresh vegetables picked at dawn, merged lovingly with saffron-touched rice. Unlike modern stainless steel pots which overshadow delicate essences, this one embraces nostalgia like an old friend while delivering crisp and delectable bits each time you prepare dinner for your family.
