‘Global Sensation’ Stray Kids Release New Mini Album ‘ATE’ on July 19th!

Stray Kids have firmly established themselves as a leading K-pop group on the global stage, continually growing with their self-produced music. Their mini-album ‘ODDINARY,’ released in March 2022, debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. This was followed by their October 2022 mini-album ‘MAXIDENT,’ their third full album ‘★★★★★ (5-STAR)’ in June 2023, and their November mini-album ‘樂-STAR.’ Each of these albums also reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Notably, the title track ‘Rock (樂)’ from ‘樂-STAR’ secured the 90th position on the Billboard ‘Hot 100,’ marking the first time a fourth-generation K-pop boy group entered this chart.

Stray Kids have further elevated K-pop’s global stature by sweeping trophies at various international award ceremonies. They won the ‘Best K-Pop’ category at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards with their title track ‘S-Class’ from the album ‘★★★★★ (5-STAR).’ Additionally, at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards in November, they received the ‘Top K-Pop Album’ award for ‘★★★★★ (5-STAR).’ Their success continued into 2024, winning ‘Group of the Year’ at the February 2024 People’s Choice Awards and ‘K-Pop Album of the Year’ at the April 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

This summer, with the release of their new album ‘ATE,’ Stray Kids will headline three major music festivals: ‘I-Days’ in Milan, Italy, ‘BST Hyde Park’ in London, UK, and ‘Lollapalooza Chicago’ in the USA.

With their unique group color and individuality, Stray Kids are set to captivate worldwide fans with their new mini album ‘ATE’ released on July 19th.

In a little coffee shop on Queen Street in Toronto, the beats of Stray Kids’ ‘ATE’ danced around me. The mix feels like old vinyl at times—nostalgic yet so refreshingly vibrant! Perfect for long city walks.

  2. Nora Izumi from Vancouver

In the vibrant landscape of contemporary music, Stray Kids have woven their narratives through melodies and powerful rhythms in ‘ATE.’ From start to finish, this mini-album embodies an intense emotional spectrum—triumphant verses intricately laced with introspection. Listeners may find themselves exploring a mosaic of sounds that pull from various influences without falling into stereotypes typically associated with pop. It feels refreshingly raw yet polished as it invites reflection on personal growth and resilience against life’s hurdles—a soundtrack perfectly aligned for urban youths straddling between worlds or chasing dreams under neon lights.

In the vibrant heart of Korea’s music scene, Stray Kids unleash their latest offering ‘ATE,’ capturing emotions through a multifaceted accordion soundscape. This mini-album stretches beyond traditional K-pop, blending eclectic instruments and innovative storytelling—an evolution for fans who have journeyed alongside them since their debut. Every note sways like the rhythms from street festivals in São Paulo, stirring nostalgia yet urging us to celebrate contemporary existence with openness and joy. Diving into the vibrant sounds of Stray Kids’ ‘ATE’ feels akin to a lively street festival bursting with eclectic energy and creativity. This mini-album unfurls layers like an intricate map, showcasing each member’s distinct artistry intertwined seamlessly. The sonorous vocals resonate vividly across cultures, reflecting an understanding that transcends borders; it invigorates audiences in remote corners of Madagascar as much as it does in busy Seoul cafés. Compared to their earlier releases such as ‘MAXIDENT,’ where the heart-wrenching narratives spoke intimately about youthful vulnerability, ‘ATE’ boldly amplifies experimentation – with pulsating rhythms painting visuals both chaotic and harmonious.
