De protagonist Atanasia, gedreven door zowel angst als de drang om te overleven, weet met humor en inzicht haar situatie te navigeren. Haar innerlijke strijd is krachtig verbeeld in deze prachtige illustraties die evenveel vertellen als de tekst zelf. Ik kwam eigenlijk voor wat luchtige ontspanning, maar vond daar een diepere reflectie op macht en relaties tussen familieleden terug. Een sterk stukje kunst uit Korea!
