Washing and Care Instructions
Professional Care
- Dry Cleaning: For best results, professional dry cleaning is highly recommended, especially for the first wash, to maintain the hanbok’s quality.
- Hand Washing:
- Dissolve detergent in lukewarm water and gently massage the fabric.
- Wash the hanbok separately, avoiding prolonged soaking.
- After washing, gently shake the hanbok to remove excess water.
- Lay flat to dry in a shaded area to preserve the fabric’s quality.
- Ironing: Use the Silk mode setting for gentle ironing.
- Storage: Fold and store the hanbok properly; avoid hanging it on a hanger to maintain its shape and structure.
Important Notes
- Custom-Made Product: As each hanbok is specially crafted per order, returns are not accepted. Please carefully review the provided size chart before making a purchase.
- Accurate Measurement:
- To measure chest circumference, extend your arms outward.
- Place a tape measure under your armpits, wrapping it horizontally around your chest at the nipple line without pulling it too tightly.
- Stand upright while measuring to ensure accurate sizing for the perfect fit.
How to Tie a Hanbok Ribbon
Tying the hanbok ribbon, or otgoreum, is a delicate process that contributes to the hanbok’s beauty:
- Identify the short knot (attached to the right inner part of the jeogori) and the long knot (attached to the left outer part).
- Cross the short knot over the long knot.
- Bring the short knot under the long knot and pull it upward.
- Roll the short knot into a circular shape and form it neatly.
- Fold the long knot and insert it into the circular loop of the short knot.
- Pull the long knot through to form a secure knot and adjust to the desired size.
- Allow both knots to hang downward neatly for a polished look.

Important Sizing Information
Chest Circumference and Height Are Key Measurements
Accurate chest circumference and height measurements are essential for ensuring a perfect fit of this hanbok set. Since this is a modernized hanbok (개량한복) design, an incorrect chest measurement may prevent the skirt zipper from closing properly.
- Custom Sizing: If your measurements differ from the provided sizes, please leave a message with your specific measurements, and we will accommodate your needs to ensure the best fit possible.
