These 100% Korean-made cotton spandex beoseon (한복 버선) are carefully crafted using a blend of cotton and spandex for a touch of elasticity. This makes them easier to put on and take off compared to traditional cotton beoseon, while still preserving their authentic structure and design.
Traditional Fit – Not Like Regular Socks
Please note that these are not ordinary socks. Beoseon have a distinctively tight and structured fit, which can feel firm and slightly uncomfortable, especially around the foot and ankle. This is a traditional feature, reflecting the historical design of Korean footwear, not a defect in the product.
If you are accustomed to modern sock comfort, these beoseon may feel snug or restrictive—but that’s exactly what makes them true to tradition.
Comfort and Fabric Design
The cotton lining is placed primarily inside the foot area for breathability and comfort, while the fabric becomes thinner toward the ankle for a neat, fitted silhouette. This combination ensures both authentic appearance and functional flexibility.
Traditional Stitching Details
Small unfinished seams or tiny holes inside are part of the normal production process. These occur when the beoseon are turned inside out after the cotton lining is inserted. They are not defects, so you can wear them with confidence.
