About the Book The world's first fox author, 'Book Eating Fox', returns with a fourth detective story after four years! A thrilling detective tale unfolds as they chase a gem thief in 'Book Eating Fox’s' real detective fairy tale!

In the story of a countess coveting others' possessions, we delve into the tale of human greed. The fourth detective novel of 'Book Eating Fox,' 'Jackie Marron and the Blue Eye Diamond,' unfolds in distant Italy. Jackie Marron's best friend, Alice's aunt, who runs a hotel in Italy, has a famous countess coming over, and the aunt has asked for protection. The countess wore a crown with a diamond, and she wanted to protect the countess and the diamond. Jackie Marron and Alice disguise their identities and stay as guests in the hotel. Despite their efforts, the diamond disappears, and the two detectives begin their investigation. The countess is remarkably attached to the diamond, even though it was not hers. The rightful owner of the diamond is revealed, and even when asked to return it, the countess refuses...

In fact, this story is inspired by the 'Cullinan Diamond' embedded in Queen Elizabeth's crown. Through this story, the author wanted to convey the message that one should not covet others' belongings and should return them to their rightful owners.

Author & Illustrator: Franziska Biermann Born in Bielefeld, Germany, the author began to study children's book illustration at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts in 1992 in earnest. She also enjoyed crossing boundaries with fun experiments while collaborating with 12 young artists in various fields such as photography, animation, music, sound, and graphic design. Her books, written with free and broad thinking, are popular among many children.

Her book 'Book Eating Fox' has recently exceeded 100 printings in Korea. So far, 350,000 young readers have encountered this book. 'Book Eating Fox' is a fable about the meaning and method of reading through fun disturbances caused by a fox who loves books too much. After reading a book, the fox sprinkles it with salt and pepper and eats it deliciously. When the fox runs out of money and can no longer buy books to eat, he decides to rob a bookstore, and the story unfolds. It is a work that sparkles with light satire and humor in pleasant sentences and comic pictures.

As shown in her representative work, "Book Eating Fox," Biermann's works are characterized by showcasing a rich world of fantasy in her writing, along with free coloring, screen composition, and a perfect combination of illustrations and text that reveal a strong individuality unique to the author. She has written books such as "Two Girlfriends Spill the Beans", "The Lucky Book", "Little Piggy Dora Taps Her Feet", "What I Really Want", and "The Lazy Cat's Resolution".
